Symposium ter gelegenheid van pensionering Professor Ben Heijmen
Dear colleagues, friends, and collaborators,
You are warmly invited to attend the Symposium in honour of Prof. Ben Heijmen on the occasion of his retirement.
The symposium, entitled Optimization, Automation and Education in Radiotherapy, takes place on Tuesday, June 16th 2026 (12:00 – 18:30) in LantarenVenster (https://www.lantarenvenster.nl/bereikbaarheid/).

The day will start at 12:00 hrs. with lunch, followed by the symposium starting at 13:00 hrs., the symposium will end at approximately 17:00 hrs. After that, there will be drinks and snacks, during this moment there will be time to stand still of Professor Heijmen's retirement.
During the symposium, we will reflect on Professor Heijmen's scientific contribution and career, with contributions from colleagues, former PhD students, and other guests.
Prof. Heijmen has made an extraordinary impact in the fields of radiotherapy, optimization, automation, education and medical physics. We look forward to celebrating his career, scientific contributions, and collaborations with all of you.
